The initiative reflects the growing strategic partnership between the two regions and their shared commitment to sustainable development.
The new phase of cooperation was highlighted during the 27th Qinghai·China Investment and Trade Fair for Green Development, held in Xining, the capital of Qinghai Province.

One of the key achievements of the forum was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Qinghai Tourism Industry Association and the Visit Almaty Tourist Information Center.
The agreement aims to establish long-term cooperation in tourism by promoting joint travel products and routes, increasing tourist exchanges, developing educational and business tourism, organizing reciprocal tourism delegations, and creating new travel routes linked to the historical heritage of the Great Silk Road.

The partnership is expected to open new travel opportunities, strengthen cultural ties between Kazakhstan and China, and enhance the international attractiveness of both regions.
Almaty Region Presents Its Investment Potential
A Kazakh delegation consisting of 21 representatives from government agencies and the business community, led by Deputy Akim of the Almaty Region Bakytnur Bakytuly, participated in the exhibition.
According to Bakytuly, cooperation between the two regions extends far beyond tourism and holds significant potential in sustainable economic development.
"Joint efforts in clean energy, the efficient use of natural resources, and the implementation of green technologies will enable our regions to maximize their strengths and launch mutually beneficial projects," he said.
New Areas of Cooperation
During the visit, the Kazakh delegation is expected to meet with leading enterprises in Qinghai Province to discuss cooperation in agriculture, agricultural processing, mining, the sustainable development of salt lake resources, renewable energy, environmental technologies, and mutual investment.

Qinghai is widely recognized as one of China's leading provinces in renewable energy, particularly in solar and wind power generation, as well as in environmentally sustainable resource management.
Continuation of Strategic Partnership
The latest agreements build upon the partnership established in 2025, when Qinghai Province and the Almaty Region signed a Protocol of Intent to establish friendly relations.
At that time, additional cooperation agreements were concluded in clean energy, education, agriculture, and tourism.
The signing of new documents during the international trade fair demonstrates that cooperation between the two regions has progressed from strategic intentions to the practical implementation of joint projects.
A Platform for International Cooperation
The Qinghai·China Investment and Trade Fair for Green Development is one of China's leading international platforms dedicated to sustainable development, green technologies, and investment cooperation.
Each year, the event brings together government officials, business leaders, researchers, and investors from around the world to discuss low-carbon development, technological innovation, international trade, and cross-border investment opportunities.
The expanding partnership between Qinghai Province and Kazakhstan's Almaty Region reflects the growing importance of regional cooperation between China and Kazakhstan. Tourism, green technologies, agriculture, renewable energy, and investment are expected to become key drivers of sustainable economic growth and stronger bilateral relations in the years ahead.
