With only two game windows left in the regular season of the Kazakhstan futsal championship, Atyrau crushed Kaspiy at home and kept up its race for third place, reports Todayinfo.
The top eight teams after the regular season will advance to the playoffs. Six clubs have already secured their spots: Semei, Kairat, Aktobe, Ayat, Atyrau, and Kaspiy. The remaining two berths are contested by Baiterek, Tulpar, Astana, and Karaganda.
The fight for third place is crucial, as finishing in the top four guarantees home-court advantage in the first playoff round. Currently, Aktobe sits third with 84 points, while Atyrau had dropped to fifth but returned to fourth after defeating Kaspiy.
Atyrau scored the first goal from a penalty in the 11th minute and extended its lead in the second half. The team continues its pursuit of third place.
