A local resident has been detained and taken into custody by court order in connection with the death of 16-year-old Balsulu Umirzak in the Shieli district of Kyzylorda region, reports the todayinfo.kz news portal.
According to Gulzhaina Kaldybaeva, the mother of the deceased, the teenager left home on the evening of June 2 after being called by a friend. However, since she did not return that night, worried relatives immediately began search efforts in the morning. Soon after, on June 3, a local resident found the girl's body in a canal sluice and reported it to the police.
Immediately after this incident, a criminal case was initiated under "Murder," and a suspect was apprehended.
"The suspect has been detained and taken into custody by court order. Currently, operational measures aimed at clarifying all the circumstances of the incident are being carried out. The investigation is under the special control of the leadership of the regional police department," said Asylbek Bekseitov, acting head of the department's investigative division.
