Today, the regional governor Murat Yergeshbayev, chairman of the regional maslikhat Murat Tleumbetov, representatives of the intelligentsia and elders met with residents of the villages of Aktan batyr, Zhanqozha batyr, Bekarystan bi, Maidakol and U. Tuktibayev during a working trip to the Kazaly district, reports Todayinfo news agency.
The residents gathered at the meeting expressed their suggestions and asked questions about social and infrastructure projects. After that, the head of the region attended the opening ceremony of a new sports complex in the village of Aiteke bi.
“Today, with the support of the Head of State, large-scale work is being carried out in our region to develop rural areas, increase the potential of regions, improve the quality of life of residents, and develop professional and mass sports. Here we are witnessing the opening of another sports complex in the village of Aiteke bi, built under the 'Aul – el besigi' program. All conditions have been created here for such sports as Kazakh wrestling, table tennis, volleyball, football, handball, basketball, and judo. The complex can train 150 athletes per day. I believe that the new sports complex will serve to form a healthy nation, and among those training here there will be champions who will raise the flag of Independent Kazakhstan on world arenas,” said the head of the region.
At the event, master of sports of Kazakhstan, Asian boxing champion among youth and juniors Zarina Tolybai, labor veteran Alimbay Kaskyrbay spoke, and elder Samurat Imandosov gave a blessing. Citizens who contributed to the socio-economic development of the district and representatives of the contractor that built the sports complex were awarded a Letter of Thanks from the regional governor.
At the beginning of the year, a sports complex was also opened in the village of Bekarystan bi in the Kazaly district. In total, the number of people involved in sports in the district has exceeded 35 thousand. Athletes have won 3 gold, 7 silver, 6 bronze medals at international tournaments and 14 gold, 19 silver, 27 bronze awards at the Kazakhstan championships.
