The international ethnofestival 'Khan Tengri Treasure' dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Raiymbek district has started at the Shalkode pasture, reports Todayinfo news agency. As part of the celebration, about 150 white yurts were erected, and exhibitions on various topics were organized. The best works of domestic and international craftsmen, ethnodesigners, painters, national dishes, and agricultural products were presented to the public. Competitions in national sports are underway, with the strongest competing against each other. Guests from China, Turkey, Russia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Belarus, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Georgia, as well as from all over Kazakhstan, are flocking to the cultural event to witness the grand celebration, the press service of the Almaty region governor reports.
At the international festival, the historical development path and socio-economic achievements of Raiymbek district were showcased. The heroic deeds of Batyr Raiymbek, who guarded the country's security in turbulent times, were glorified. The exemplary lives of outstanding personalities who soared from the foot of the majestic Khan Tengri – Berdibek Sokpakbaev, Mukagali Makataev, Yerkin Ibitanov, Sagat Ashimbaev, Altynbek Sarsenbaev, and Orazaly Dosbosynov – were promoted. The sacred 'Karkaraly' pasture migration, embellishing the steppe culture, took viewers on a journey into the depths of history. The solemn migration, full of meaning and beauty, revealed the traditions and culture of the nomadic people, becoming a symbol of prosperity and unity. The procession of masters from abroad also attracted special attention.
The event was attended by Advisor to the President of Kazakhstan Malik Otarbayev, who conveyed congratulations from Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

'This is a sacred place where the feats of Batyr Raiymbek, Uzak, and Zhamenke, born for their country, are intertwined. From this soil, which became the cradle of the national spirit, many unique figures of Kazakh culture and literature took flight. The celebration of the 100th anniversary of children's literature classic Berdibek Sokpakbaev at the UNESCO level is evidence of international recognition of the heritage of great personalities from this region. The poems of Mukagali Makataev, the Khan Tengri of Kazakh poetry, are an inexhaustible precious treasure of our nation. Following the path of that greatness, without lowering the banner of verbal art, critic Sagatkhan Ashimbayev and writer-playwright Bakkozha Mukai – also children of this land. And prominent representatives of the aitys art, Yerkin Ibitanov and Orazaly Dosbosynov, exalted the power of the Kazakh word, enhancing the prestige of native art. In addition, this blessed land gave birth to political and public figures who worked tirelessly for the nation and governed the country. Raiymbek district, which formed such great personalities, will forever remain the golden foundation of the country's spirituality,' the head of the region said.
He also noted that the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev always pays special priority attention to the development of rural areas, strategically important border regions, and improving the quality of life of the population, and systematic work is being carried out in this direction in Raiymbek district. According to him, while preserving natural wealth and historical heritage, the district is confidently stepping into a new stage of socio-economic development. With its agricultural potential, it makes a huge contribution to ensuring the country's food security and developing the region's economy.
