Today, an ecological educational event called 'Ecologist Hour' was organized in the President's Park in Kyzylorda city, held outdoors to mark June 5th – Ecologist Day and World Environment Day, reports Todayinfo.
The main goal of the event was to foster ecological culture among residents, explain the importance of environmental protection, promote rational use of natural resources, and increase environmental responsibility.
Industry experts and environmental scientists participated in the meaningful meeting held in nature, exchanging views on pressing issues related to environmental protection.
Specifically, Hadisha Abdiba қyzy, Senior Environmental Protection Manager of the Ecology Department for Kyzylorda region, and Samalbek Orazbayuly, Director of the Kyzylorda branch of the Alikhan Bokeikhan Kazakh Forestry Research Institute, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, and Associate Professor, delivered presentations.
Also, Nurgul Sagyndykkyzy, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biological Sciences and Acting Associate Professor at Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, shared her insights on the ecological situation, the culture of nature conservation, increasing green areas, efficient use of water resources, and environmental cleanliness.
During the event, participants were extensively informed about waste sorting, energy and water conservation, caring for nature, and maintaining cleanliness. Furthermore, the importance of environmental initiatives being implemented in the country was highlighted, and residents were encouraged to actively participate in nature protection.
