The main index of the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange — KASE Index — reached 5,800 points for the first time. This is the highest figure in the last 5 years.
The main contributors to the growth were: KazMunayGas, Kazakhtelecom, KEGOC and Halyk Bank. Their shares rose by 8-12%.
Analysts attribute the growth to stable oil prices, recovery of the national currency and increased investor confidence.
