The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan has launched a project to build a supercomputer. Total investment is 18 billion tenge, the new center will be located in Astana.
The supercomputer is designed for climate modeling, medical research, solving physics and mathematics problems, and training AI models.
The maximum computing power of the equipment is 1 petaflop. This will be the most powerful supercomputer in Central Asia.
