Mobile communications in Kazakhstan have become the most popular type of communication, completely replacing landline phones. They have become an integral part of personal communication and business activity, providing fast and convenient access to information and services, reports Todayinfo.
According to a study by Finprom.kz, in recent years the sector has undergone significant changes: from basic coverage and voice services to widespread mobile internet, the development of 4G and 5G. This opens up new opportunities for business and the state.

As of the end of March 2026, more than 27 million mobile subscribers were registered in Kazakhstan. Over the year, their number increased by 4%, and over five years — by 14% (3.3 million people).
