On the occasion of the 180th anniversary of the great Abai, with the support of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the republican campaign 'Respect for Abai' has been launched, reports Todayinfo. The government adopted a special resolution, and each region of the country is donating one facility to Semey.
The Mangystau region has started construction of the House of Friendship, the North Kazakhstan region – the Square of Symbols, and the Aktobe region – the Palace of Martial Arts. Yesterday, Shymkent began building a Creative Center, Almaty – a Media Center, and the Pavlodar region – a Table Tennis Center.
The Turkestan region will build an exhibition center, the Kyzylorda region – a 'Bow to Mother' center, the Atyrau region – an 'Abai World' center, the Zhetysu region – city gates, the West Kazakhstan region – a sports complex, the Kostanay region – a spiritual center, and Astana – a 'KeLeshek' school. The East Kazakhstan region will improve the Irtysh riverbank.
Major investors are also supporting the campaign. KAZ Minerals will build a stadium, Samruk-Kazyna – a sports and recreation complex, the Qazaqstan Halqyna foundation – an inclusive sports center, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy – a sports and recreation complex, and KazMunayGas – a Palace of the Future.
This is a manifestation of respect for Abai's land and regional solidarity. All projects will be completed with high quality and on time.
