National Guard holds contest 'State language is my language'

The second stage of the traditional contest 'State language is my language' among servicemen who are not representatives of the local ethnicity was held in the 'South' regional command of the National Guard of the Republic of Kazakhstan, reports Todayinfo news agency.

The main goal of the event is to promote state language policy, increase respect for the Kazakh language, encourage servicemen to master the state language fluently, and widely disseminate best practices in this area.

This contest has been regularly organized in the National Guard for several years. Its content is updated annually, and the requirements for participants are becoming stricter. This competition, which promotes not only language knowledge but also the history, culture, traditions of the Kazakh people and patriotic values, plays an important role in educating personnel.

11 servicemen from military units located in Almaty, Shymkent, Turkistan, Taraz, Kyzylorda, Taldykorgan and Alatau, subordinate to the 'South' regional command, took part in the contest. Participants competed in self-presentation, fluency in the state language, demonstration of knowledge level and creative tasks.

According to the results of the contest, the first place was taken by Junior Sergeant Vladislav Sargan from military unit 5571. The second place went to Senior Lieutenant Kirill Kanashevich, an officer of military unit 5572. The third place was shared by Junior Sergeant Rustam Isabekov from military unit 3660 and Lieutenant Islam Kassymov from military unit 7552. The winners were awarded diplomas and valuable gifts.

On the second day of the contest, a professional meeting of language specialists working on the implementation and development of the state language was organized. During the event, participants attended master classes, exchanged experience and reported on the work done.

Based on the results of work on the introduction, training and promotion of the state language in the service environment, the first place was taken by methodologist of military unit 5571, Senior Lieutenant Merey Baiserkeyeva. The second place was won by methodologist of military unit 3660, Senior Lieutenant Aliya Abdigalieva, the third place was shared by language specialist of military unit 6698, Captain Malika Shynzhigitova and language specialist of military unit 5572, Junior Sergeant Akerke Baikozhekova.

– The state language is one of the main values that strengthen the unity of the country and unite the nation. Today, interest in mastering the state language among servicemen of the National Guard is growing every year. This contest not only improves the language competence of servicemen, but also helps to increase their respect for national values, – says Lieutenant Colonel Saltanat Yesmukhanova, senior officer for the introduction of the state language of the Department of Educational and Social and Legal Work of the 'South' regional command.

Such events have a positive impact on expanding the scope of the state language, increasing the status of the Kazakh language in the military environment and forming a language culture among personnel.
