Six people died in a helicopter collision in Rio de Janeiro, reports Todayinfo.kz.

In the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro, two helicopters collided mid-air, resulting in the deaths of six people. The tragic incident occurred in the Recreio dos Bandeirantes district in the western part of the city.

According to the local fire department, one of the collided helicopters crashed into the parking lot of a car dealership. This caused a fire, damaging dozens of vehicles. Some sources reported that the fire engulfed approximately 20 cars.

Although emergency rescue operations were carried out at the scene, all six people on board the helicopters died. Brazilian authorities are currently conducting an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident. According to preliminary information, experts are examining the pilots' actions and the work of the air traffic control service.

Witnesses say that after the mid-air collision, one of the helicopters went out of control and crashed to the ground. Videos of the incident have been widely shared on social media, sparking heated public discussion.
