Five people have died in a serious traffic accident on the Astana – Korgalzhyn highway in the Akmola region, reports Todayinfo.kz.
The tragic incident was recorded on the afternoon of June 21. Initial information about the accident was published on the Instagram page 716.kz. It stated that several vehicles collided, resulting in deaths and injuries.
The Akmola Regional Police Department reported the circumstances of the accident. According to the department, a Kia, a Toyota Fortuner, and a Toyota Land Cruiser collided on the highway.
After the severe impact, two Toyota vehicles caught fire. According to preliminary data, five people died as a result of the accident, and another five were taken to the hospital with various injuries.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched into this incident. Specialists are determining the exact cause and all circumstances of the traffic accident.
