The regular season of the Kazakhstan Futsal Championship is nearing the finish. Only eight of the 12 teams will qualify for the playoffs. At the lower border of the playoff zone are Baiterek (7th place) and Tulpar (8th place). These two teams met on Saturday in Karaganda.
In the first game, Baiterek won 4-2. If they had also won the return match, the Oral club would have become the seventh team to reach the playoffs. However, Tulpar prevented that.
The return match was a tight contest. In the sixth minute, Timur Malibekov went one-on-one with the goalkeeper from midfield and scored accurately. The first half ended with this score. In the first minute of the second half, Madi Samatuly equalized after a mistake. However, in the 26th minute, Tulpar goalkeeper Daulet Zatybekov joined the attack and scored the winning goal with a shot from medium range.
As a result, Baiterek remained in 7th place with 51 points, while Tulpar collected 45 points and rose to 8th place. Astana defeated Aktobe 7-4 on Sunday and is only two points behind Tulpar. Astana will play the return match against Aktobe on Monday.
