— The National Book Day has been celebrated since last year on the initiative of the Head of State. There are 150 libraries in the region, and all of them are actively holding events dedicated to this day. We are not limited to traditional meetings; we also widely use modern formats. There is a particularly noticeable great interest from young people, which pleases us. By instilling in the younger generation a love for the book, we thereby contribute to their cultural, spiritual, educational and cognitive development, broadening their horizons, — noted the head of the regional department of culture, archives and documentation Kuanysh Suleimenov.

Thus, the central library named after Saken Seifullin hosted a discussion evening "Kitap zhane pikir alany", a literary podcast "Olke avtorlary – alem tilinde" and an intellectual game "Kim tapkyr?". The Koksu district library hosted a book exhibition "Bugingi trend – kitap oku", a quiz "Tapkyr bolsan, tauyp kor", a fashion show "Zhanga kitaptar", as well as a theatrical performance "Gasyrlar tartysy: kitap pen smartphone".
During the events, participants were asked questions related to books, characters of works by classics of Kazakh and foreign literature, and discussions were held. New and rare copies of books were presented, the pros and cons of books and modern gadgets were discussed.

The events were attended by schoolchildren, library readers, writers and poets, and all book lovers.
— The evening "Kitap zhane pikir alany" was very meaningful and interesting. We competed by making words from rearranged letters, guessed various characters, freely expressed our thoughts and got acquainted with other views on books. I regularly visit the Seifullin library. After such interesting events, our interest in reading only increased, — said a young reader, a 7th grade student of school No. 15 in Taldykorgan, Ayazhan Sabitkyzy.
Representatives of the mobile literary school "Mizam", who actively participate in these events, also expressed their opinion.
— The school "Mizam" we created covers various methods of teaching reading and always takes part in such events. "Mizam" is not just a literary environment, but a spiritual platform that forms a personality through the book. Our goal is to make reading not a duty, but a way of life. Reading is not only understanding the text, but also thinking together with the hero, immersing yourself in the author's world, knowing yourself. Thanks to this approach, students enrich their vocabulary, develop thinking and expand their spiritual horizons, — noted the lecturer of the mobile literary school "Mizam", poet Mukhtar Kumisbek.
Such events aimed at increasing the significance of the National Book Day and forming a reading culture in society covered all districts and cities of the region.
