A major fraud involving a soft loan has been uncovered in the Abai region. The head of the 'Ykybai' farm obtained 211 million tenge from the state using forged documents and spent it on personal needs, reports Todayinfo.
According to the investigation by the Agency for Financial Monitoring, the entrepreneur arranged two soft loans totaling over 250 million tenge for livestock development. However, instead of purchasing livestock, he fully used the funds for personal purposes.
To obtain the loan, he provided false information about the existence of collateral property and livestock. As a result of these illegal actions, the state suffered damage in the amount of 211 million tenge.
Currently, the suspect has fully compensated the damage. He has been released on a written undertaking not to leave the place, and the case materials have been sent to court.
