The pre-trial investigation into the high-profile night accident on Al-Farabi Avenue in Almaty has been completed, and the case materials have been submitted to the court for consideration, reports Todayinfo.
This was announced by lawyer Oleg Chernov, who represents the legal interests of the relatives of the deceased 29-year-old Mercedes driver.
A preliminary court hearing is scheduled for May 28 at 3:00 PM at the Specialized Interdistrict Criminal Court of Almaty.
The accident, which claimed the lives of three people – the Mercedes driver and two young female passengers aged 20 and 22 – occurred on the night of March 21.
According to the investigation, the Zeekr driver was involved in street racing with another car. The man was driving the vehicle under the influence of alcohol (mild intoxication).
