A fire broke out in an apartment in the residential complex 'Asyl Arman' in Almaty Region, home to about 25,000 people, reports Todayinfo.kz.
The '112' dispatch of Almaty Region received a report of a fire in two adjacent two-room apartments on the 9th floor of a 9-story residential building in the 'Asyl Arman' residential complex in the village of Irgeli, Karasai District.
At the scene, 25 people were evacuated via the staircase: 18 adults and 7 children. Additionally, 20 people, including 5 children, evacuated on their own.
Firefighting units operated under an elevated response level. The spread of fire to neighboring apartments was prevented.
The cause of the fire is being determined. There are no casualties.
