«Father's bequest will be fulfilled»: Mukhtar Shakhanov to be buried in Otrar

Kairkhan Balgabekov, nephew of Kazakhstan's People's Writer Mukhtar Shakhanov, announced that the poet's last wish will be fulfilled, reports Todayinfo.kz. According to him, the writer will be buried near the Arystanbab mausoleum in the Otrar region, as he bequeathed.

«Endless gratitude to Allah, my father's last bequest will be fulfilled. Our father will be buried in Otrar», he wrote.

It is worth noting that earlier the poet's wife Khanshayim Shakhanova, in a letter to the Head of State, conveyed that Mukhtar Shakhanov's final wish was to be buried near the Arystanbab mausoleum in the sacred Otrar region, where his ancestors rest.
