A minute of silence was observed in memory of the fallen soldiers. Attendees laid wreaths at the Eternal Flame, paying tribute to the heroes.
The commemorative event was attended by representatives of the regional and city akimats, members of the veterans' council, home front workers, military personnel, veterans of the Afghan War, the Tajik-Afghan conflict, and the Chernobyl disaster, public figures, and city residents.
