Bloody crime in Atyrau: family members died six months apart

In the village of Zhangeldino, Atyrau region, it was established that the crimes related to the death of four members of one family were committed not simultaneously, but over several months, reports Todayinfo.kz. In the case of the death of the Karabaliny family in the village of Zhangeldino, the timing of the crimes has been determined. According to the investigation, the murders of family members did not occur at the same time. Several months passed between the first and subsequent crimes. According to the Atyrau regional prosecutor's office, suspect Sultan Sarsemaliyev killed the couple's son, Nauryz Mukangaliyev, in May, while the couple and their daughter died in November. According to the investigation, the crime was committed by one person without the involvement of third parties. According to the forensic psychiatric examination, Sarsemaliyev is found sane and can be held responsible for his actions. According to Zhandar Bolatbek, assistant prosecutor of the Atyrau region, multiple stab wounds inflicted with a kitchen knife were found on the bodies of the deceased.

"Each had at least six wounds, which were inflicted on the chest, neck, and vital organs," he said.

The final conclusion regarding Sarsemaliyev's wife, the deceased couple's daughter Akbayan Mukangaliyeva, has not yet been issued. Since specialists in Atyrau could not accurately assess her mental state, a repeat forensic psychiatric examination has been ordered in Almaty. Relatives of the deceased are demanding an open trial. They hope that all circumstances of the incident will be fully disclosed during the court proceedings. The criminal case may be sent to court in May. The investigation is ongoing.
