Bauyrzhan Baibek, former Akim of Almaty and ex-first deputy chairman of the Nur Otan party, has taken on a new role in Kazakhstan's industrial sector, reports Todayinfo.
Information regarding his appointment as the chairman of the board of directors appeared on the official website of Qazaq Kaolin company.
Baibek had not held public office in the country for over two years. In February 2022, he voluntarily resigned from the party structure, after which, according to media reports, he was in the United Arab Emirates.
During this period, he underwent training and focused on attracting foreign investments. Baibek's new position is linked to the production and processing of kaolin.
This appointment signifies his official return to Kazakhstan's corporate sector following a lengthy break from administrative and political activities.
