Several companies with large debts have been illegally registered in Almaty under the name of a Kyrgyz citizen. Dastan Bekeshev, a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, considers this a fraudulent scheme, reports Todayinfo.
Dastan Bekeshev, a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, reported an incident involving a citizen of Kyrgyzstan. According to him, several companies were illegally registered in Almaty and other regions of Kazakhstan under the woman's name, accumulating substantial debts.
The deputy stated that Zarina Rakhmatova, a podologist working in Bishkek, arrived in Almaty at the end of April. Upon crossing the border, she was informed that there was a "red flag" in the database.
As Bekeshev later wrote on social media, it was discovered that four Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) were registered in Kazakhstan under the woman's name. These companies owe the state approximately 300,000 dollars, including arrears on utilization fees.
The deputy noted that these firms might have been registered through a power of attorney or without the citizen's knowledge. Following this, the woman appealed to the state bodies of Kazakhstan, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the General Prosecutor's Office, and law enforcement agencies of Kyrgyzstan.
According to Bekeshev, similar cases of fraudulent company registration have been recorded previously in Kyrgyzstan and other countries in the region.
The politician urged citizens who frequently cross borders and work in the region to regularly check that no one has registered companies or other legal entities under their names.
