In the published address, the couple expressed gratitude for the decision made. 'We would like to thank the court, thank the prosecutor's office for the decision made,' they said.
The couple also stated that they had drawn conclusions from what happened. 'We realized our mistake, do not repeat it. Therefore, we sincerely thank everyone,' the address reads.
Earlier, the court found Yerbolat Zhanabylov and Elmira Tolegenova guilty of illegal entrepreneurship and money laundering. The court sentenced Yerbolat Zhanabylov to two years of suspended imprisonment with confiscation of property, and Elmira Tolegenova to two years of imprisonment with a two-year deferment of execution. The bloggers also compensated for property damage in the amount of 247,653,229.5 tenge.
