In Astana and Almaty, the activities of a group of individuals suspected of illegally collecting and distributing personal data of Kazakh citizens have been stopped, reports the KNB in coordination with the prosecutor's office.
According to the investigation, the scheme participants obtained and sold personal information on the internet that was obtained illegally. The buyers, as noted, were individual representatives of microfinance and collection organizations, as well as individuals.
During the searches, computer equipment, electronic storage media, a large sum of money, and other physical evidence were seized.
A pre-trial investigation is being conducted on this fact under a number of articles of the Criminal Code.
