In Astana and Almaty, the activities of a group of persons suspected of illegally collecting and distributing personal data of Kazakhstan citizens have been stopped, reports the NSC coordinated by the prosecutor's office.
According to the investigation, participants bought and sold illegally obtained personal information online. Buyers included individual representatives of microfinance and collection agencies, as well as individuals.
During the searches, computer equipment, electronic storage media, large sums of money and other physical evidence were seized.
A pre-trial investigation is underway on several articles of the Criminal Code.
