In 2025, the number of tourists who left Kazakhstan for abroad amounted to 417,100 people. The ranking of the most popular destinations has changed, with China taking the lead, reports Todayinfo.
According to Ranking.kz, the share of tourists visiting China was 32.9%, while Turkey came second with 29.5%. These figures have shifted significantly compared to 2024, when Turkey was the leader.
The number of Kazakh tourists in China reached 137,300 people, an annual increase of 8.7%. Experts attribute this to tourism exchange programs between Kazakhstan and China.
Other popular destinations include Egypt (43,100 people), Georgia (31,800 people), the UAE (22,600 people), and Vietnam (13,500 people). In total, 11.8 million Kazakhs traveled abroad in 2025, 1.2% less than the previous year.
