Kazakhstani athlete Ivan Ivanov won a bronze medal in shot put at the Asian Athletics Championship in Mokpo, South Korea, securing the country's first award, reports Todayinfo.
In his best attempt, Ivanov threw the shot put 19.41 meters.
The gold medal was claimed by Chinese athlete Chen Hongfei with a result of 20.18 meters. The silver medal went to another Chinese representative, Chen Chengguo, who achieved 19.64 meters.
