The ceremony, organized at the 'Square of Reverence,' was attended by Meyrambek Shermaganbet, Deputy Akim of the region, heads of law enforcement agencies, representatives of the intelligentsia, and veterans.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev previously stated: «We will never forget the unwavering resilience and diligent work of our compatriots. We will always honor the names of our heroes who showed an outstanding example of self-sacrifice and courage. We will care for our veterans and provide them with support.»

Meyrambek Zinabdinuly emphasized that it is our sacred duty to revive in our memory the extraordinary bravery and boundless courage of the front-line soldiers and to keep them eternally in remembrance. He noted that in challenging times, when the country faced hardships, our glorious ancestors demonstrated a vivid example of heroism and self-sacrifice.

Today's generation lives under a peaceful sky, without experiencing hunger, cold, or the horrors of devastating war, living carefree in our Independent Homeland. The sacred and great feat achieved by our heroic ancestors will forever remain in the memory of the nation!

«I congratulate everyone on Victory Day! May our Independence be strong, and our sovereignty high!» — said the Deputy Akim of the region.

It is worth noting that during the war years, over 70,000 citizens from the Kyzylorda region went to the front. More than 30,000 of them died or went missing. Additionally, 22 citizens were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, and over 20,000 soldiers were honored with various orders and medals.
