In Ust-Kamenogorsk, at an auto repair shop on Tselinnaya Street, containers with diesel fuel and used oil caught fire. This was reported by Orda.kz citing the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The fire covered an area of 102 square meters. Upon arrival, the Emergency Department units observed thick smoke and found that tanks and structures were burning with open flames. Firefighters immediately deployed hoses and began extinguishing to prevent further spread of the fire.
During the operation, rescuers removed four oxygen and two gas cylinders from the danger zone, preventing the threat of explosion. The fire was completely extinguished. There were no casualties.
