ASTANA. KAZINFORM — President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Nicolo Martin Caprez, Vice President of Global AI Infrastructure Development at NVIDIA, as well as with Razmig Berg Ovakimyan and Alexander Yesayan, founders of Firebird AI.
According to the press service of Akorda, the conversation discussed prospects for partnership in the design, construction, and operation of AI infrastructure.
The Head of State stated that Kazakhstan aims to become a fully digital country within the next three years.
According to the President, the launch of supercomputer clusters based on NVIDIA technology was an important step towards achieving this goal and strengthening the country's technological independence.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev highlighted the strategic project to create a data center campus in Ekibastuz, which will provide affordable electricity, telecommunications networks, and tax incentives for investors wishing to develop computing infrastructure.
Representatives of NVIDIA and Firebird AI spoke about the implementation of a similar project in Armenia.
— At the end of the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the company representatives agreed to study the possibilities of implementing a joint initiative to develop the AI ecosystem, — the message says.
