A fire at a solid waste landfill in Pavlodar is being extinguished for the second day, reports Todayinfo.
On May 14 at 21:18, the 101 operator received a report of a fire at the solid waste landfill. By 01:07, the fire was localized, and its liquidation continues over an estimated area of 3 hectares. 55 personnel and 35 units of equipment are involved, — reported the Department of Emergency Situations (DES) of Pavlodar region on Friday.
The limited liability partnership (LLP) responsible for maintaining the landfill was brought to administrative responsibility under Article 336 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan for failing to comply with fire safety rules during waste storage. A fine of 200 MCI was imposed.
