Berik Uali, the Akim of East Kazakhstan region, familiarized himself with projects for roadside service facilities to be constructed along the republican highway 'Omsk – Maikapshagai' in the Kokpekti district, reports Todayinfo.

The head of the region first inspected the project for a camping site and a gas station. The facility, with a total area of 2 hectares, will be designed in a modern and national style, serving as a contemporary service center for long-distance drivers and travelers. It will include a 20-bed hotel, a children's playground, a cafe, and a mother and child room. The investment project cost is 900 million tenge. The facility is expected to be commissioned by the end of the year.

Another project planned for implementation along this main road is the 'Uly Dala Turagy' (Great Steppe Stop) facility. The camping area covers 2069 square meters. The project envisions the construction of a hotel, a market, a public catering establishment, a gas station, an electric charging station, and a gas filling station. The investment project cost is approximately 2 billion tenge. Construction work will commence this year and conclude next year.

The Akim of the region emphasized that the development of roadside service contributes to enhancing the tourism and economic potential of the region.

Both facilities are located along an international transport corridor of national significance, at a crossroads of nine roads. They are highly necessary for travelers. Such projects not only improve the quality of roadside service but also contribute to boosting the district's economy, creating new jobs, developing entrepreneurship, and strengthening the region's tourist appeal. We will provide all necessary support from local and regional akimats to citizens wishing to invest in the region. We wish them success, — said Berik Uali.
