During the citywide cleanup campaign, Almaty is conducting comprehensive washing of sidewalks using special detergents. This was reported by representatives of the city Department of Communal Infrastructure and Housing Inspection.
The cleaning consists of several stages. At the first stage, sidewalks are washed with special equipment that supplies water and detergent solution. This softens dirt, dust, and street plaque. Then road workers use brushes to mechanically clean the paving slabs. At the final stage, repeated washing with clean water is carried out to remove foam and dirt residues.
Large-scale cleaning activities are organized at 23 points in the city, involving 48 units of special equipment and 480 road workers.
The cleaning covers main sections in all districts of Almaty. In particular, Abay, Raiymbek, Nazarbayev avenues, Panfilov, Satpayev, Gogol streets, and other areas with heavy pedestrian traffic.
The ongoing measures are aimed at improving the sanitary condition of the city and creating a comfortable environment for residents.
