The popularity of sightseeing flights on light aircraft, ultralight aviation and balloons in Kazakhstan is growing rapidly. Social media are increasingly filled with offers to take to the skies. However, with growing interest, risks also increase. Authorities warn that beautiful views may hide a serious threat if basic safety rules are not followed, reports Todayinfo news agency.

The Civil Aviation Committee and JSC 'Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan' reminded citizens that before going on a sightseeing flight, it is necessary to verify the legality and safety of the service. These are key requirements, ignoring which can lead to dangerous consequences.

'First of all, passengers are advised to check that the flight organizer has all the necessary permits. This includes a valid operator certificate and operational specifications issued by the Aviation Administration in the prescribed manner. Without them, the activity is considered illegal,' the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan warned.

The technical condition of the aircraft is equally important. It must have a valid airworthiness certificate confirming that the equipment meets established standards and is safe to operate. 'Special attention should be paid to the pilot's qualifications. Only a specialist with a valid certificate of the appropriate category and qualification can operate the aircraft. This guarantees that the flight is under the control of a trained professional,' the ministry emphasized.

Also mandatory is the existence of a civil liability insurance contract for passengers. In case of unforeseen situations, this ensures the protection of the interests of people on board. The Civil Aviation Committee and the Aviation Administration stress that before the flight, passengers must undergo mandatory pre-flight briefing. It includes an explanation of the rules of conduct and safety measures to be observed in the air.

Specialists also pay special attention to weather conditions. Flights are not recommended in strong winds, low clouds or precipitation. Even with all documents in order, adverse weather can significantly increase the risk. The ministry notes that the market for sightseeing flights is developing faster than the culture of their consumption. Many passengers focus only on the cost or attractiveness of the offer, without checking its legality. This creates a favorable environment for unscrupulous organizers. In such conditions, responsibility for safety partially falls on the passengers themselves. A simple check of documents and flight conditions can be a decisive factor in avoiding a dangerous situation.
