Snow and frost are set to return to Kazakhstan in the coming days, reports Todayinfo. According to Kazhydromet, a sharp deterioration in weather conditions is expected in the northern, central, and eastern regions of the country.
Forecasters predict that from May 13 to 15, nighttime and morning temperatures will drop below zero, with snowfall possible in some areas. This could negatively impact agriculture and road traffic.
“We warn residents to be careful on the roads, and drivers are advised to reduce speed and maintain distance. It is also necessary to dress warmly and observe safety precautions,” Kazhydromet representatives stated.
Due to the sudden change in weather, the Ministry of Emergency Situations has also issued a warning to the public, urging them to enhance safety measures. In particular, the risk of avalanches may increase in mountainous areas.
