A new research book is being prepared on the life and scientific legacy of Zeinep Bokeikhanova-Saduakasova, daughter of Alash leader Alikhan Bokeikhanuly and doctor of medical sciences, reports Todayinfo.
Zeinep Alikhanovna Saduakasova successfully defended her doctoral dissertation titled “The Socio-Hygienic Problem of Abortion” and earned the academic degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences. Her monograph “Regulation of Socio-Hygienic Aspects of the Family” was published. This work by the scientist-doctor was considered the first work in the history of the USSR dedicated to the issue of abortion. To this day, medical universities in Russia use this work as a guide in their educational process.
The issue of abortion remains a pressing problem for modern society, and its relevance has not diminished.
Looking at her photograph, it is evident that she bore a strong resemblance to her father, Alikhan Nurmukhameduly. Memoirs describe Zeinep Khanym as a beautiful, wise, intelligent, and composed person.
Having lost her father, husband, and only child during her lifetime, Zeinep Alikhanovna, subjected to the whims of fate, made a significant contribution to Soviet medicine until her last breath. However, her theoretical scientific discoveries were repeatedly banned by the authorities during her lifetime. She was dismissed from work several times, and her scientific findings were not recognized. The daughter of the leader, the widow of Smagul, and the mother of Eskendir, she suffered a nervous breakdown and died from depression.
Researchers of Zeinep Bokeikhanova's life state that while working with the funds of the Russian State Archive of Socio-Political History (RGASPI) in Moscow, they specifically reviewed her case files and read her books, expressing their admiration. Researchers reported that they are preparing a new book about the scientist's life path, the hardships she endured, and her destiny. However, due to a lack of financial support, the book's publication is delayed. If a sponsor is found, the bookshelves of Kazakh readers would be enriched with a valuable book.
On the eve of her birthday, let us remember Zeinep Khanym with longing and respect, and offer prayers for her soul.
