The environmental campaign took place on April 25, with over 762 hectares of territory cleaned and more than 2,307 tons of waste removed across the region. In addition, over 21,000 seedlings were planted. To carry out the regional campaign, 287 units of equipment were mobilized.
One of the main events of the large-scale campaign was held in the city of Konayev. A teleconference was held in the central park named after Berdibek Sokpakbayev with the participation of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and 100 trees were planted.
The environmental campaign covered several districts of the region. In the Ili district, 2,093 people took part in the campaign, 1,290 trees were planted, and 77.1 tons of waste were removed. In the Talgar district, 600 seedlings were planted, and in the Karasai district, with the support of the «Altyn-Taga» plant, 1,000 trees were planted, with over 5,000 people involved in the cleanup.
The event was attended by public activists, youth organizations, volunteers, entrepreneurs, and city residents. According to the regional akimat, such campaigns increase residents' responsibility for the environment and strengthen the culture of cleanliness.
In Almaty Region, systematic work continues under the «Taza Kazakhstan» program, initiated by the President. This year, from February 28 to April 23, 697 events were organized in the region, involving over 344,000 people. During this period, more than 59,000 trees were planted and 1,979 tons of waste were removed.
According to the plan for 2026–2030, about 220,000 trees are planned to be planted annually in Almaty Region. Today's environmental protection measures not only demonstrate the concrete results of government initiatives but also prove that society can unite for a common cause.
