In Almaty Region, a large-scale cleanup event was held as part of the republican environmental campaigns "Zhasyl Bolashak" and "Taza Kazakhstan", with over 47,000 people participating.

During the environmental event on April 25, more than 762 hectares of territory were cleaned and over 2,307 tons of waste were removed across the region. In addition, over 21,000 seedlings were planted. A total of 287 units of equipment were mobilized for the regional event.

One of the main highlights of the large-scale event was organized in the city of Qonayev. A teleconference was held in the central park named after Berdibek Sokpakbayev with the participation of Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, during which 100 trees were planted.

In Talgar District, 600 seedlings were planted, while in Karasay District, with the support of the "Altyn Taga" plant, 1,000 trees were planted, and over 5,000 people were involved in the cleanup.

The event was attended by public activists, youth organizations, volunteers, entrepreneurs, and city residents.

According to the regional akimat, such campaigns help increase residents' responsibility for the environment and strengthen the culture of cleanliness.

It should be noted that systematic work continues in Almaty Region under the "Taza Kazakhstan" program initiated by the President. This year, from February 28 to April 23, 697 events were organized in the region, covering over 344,000 people. During this period, more than 59,000 trees were planted and 1,979 tons of waste were removed.

According to the plan for 2026–2030, Almaty Region plans to plant approximately 220,000 trees annually. Today's environmental campaigns not only demonstrate the tangible results of state initiatives but also once again prove that society can unite for a common cause.
