The terminals of Almaty International Airport have once again been flooded by rainwater following heavy precipitation, reports Todayinfo.
According to the airport's press service, on May 3, roof leaks occurred in specific areas of terminals T1 and T2 as a result of heavy rainfall.
The consequences of the incident were promptly eliminated within 30 minutes and did not affect flight operations. The airport is currently operating as usual.
An infrastructure inspection is underway to assess the causes and prevent similar situations in the future. It is worth noting that this is not the first such incident at Almaty Airport.
