Tokayev launches network of artificial intelligence schools in 14 regions of Kazakhstan

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took part in the launch of a number of educational initiatives in the field of artificial intelligence and digital technologies. President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took part in the launch of a number of educational initiatives in the field of artificial intelligence and digital technologies.

By order of the Head of State, in 2024, the Tomorrow School of Artificial Intelligence was established on the basis of Astana Hub, the experience of which is currently being scaled across the country. During a teleconference, the president launched the Tomorrow School network in 14 regions of Kazakhstan.

Training under the project will be free and accessible to citizens over 18 years of age, including novice specialists in the field of information technology.

In addition, the TUMO Astana educational platform was presented — a center for creative technologies aimed at teenagers aged 12 to 18. The program provides training in 11 areas, including generative artificial intelligence, programming, game development, animation, 3D modeling, robotics, film production and digital music.

The president was also presented with the concept of AI Research University. As reported by Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek, the new research university is planned to be located on the basis of the Alem.ai center.

Students will be given access to the national artificial intelligence infrastructure, including alem.cloud, AlemLLM and Astana Hub resources. The start of the educational program is scheduled for September 1, 2026.
