Today at about 10:00 a.m., a road accident occurred in the Medeu district of Almaty. According to the city police department, the driver of a Howo truck was driving down Nurmagambetov Street.
According to preliminary reports, due to a brake system malfunction, the vehicle lost control on the mountain road, knocked down a metal fence, three fruit trees, and overturned in the area behind the fence. The driver died at the scene from his injuries.
The investigative department of the Almaty police department has opened a criminal case. The investigation is establishing all the circumstances of the accident.
