The event was attended by the region's akim Serik Shapkenov, party secretary Yerzhan Zhylkybayev, Majilis deputy Duisenbai Turganov, as well as representatives of state bodies, utility services, and homeowners' associations.
Yerzhan Zhylkybayev noted that the project is aimed at systematically addressing issues in the management of multi-apartment buildings and enhancing the role of residents. Measures include training for chairpersons of condominium associations and homeowners' associations, developing feedback mechanisms, implementing a "Participatory Budget," and forming a personnel reserve.
Duisenbai Turganov emphasized that reforms in the housing and communal services sector strengthen the role of property owners: they will be able to choose the management form, approve tariffs, and control expenses. Measures are also envisaged to increase the transparency and accountability of management organizations.
Deputy Akim of the region Kairat Nurtayev reported on the digitalization of water supply: metering devices have already been installed in 801 homes, reducing water consumption by 7%. Resettlement from dilapidated housing (624 apartments) continues, along with the modernization of electrical grids.
Summing up, Serik Shapkenov proposed creating a front office for direct interaction between residents and management organizations. Following the forum, specific initiatives were developed for the development of the housing and communal services sector, improving management efficiency, and strengthening feedback with the population.
