According to the city's Department for the Development of Public Spaces, 55 municipal fountain complexes are planned to be launched this season, including 11 "dry" fountains. Ensuring their technical condition and sanitary maintenance is under constant control of the relevant services.
Preparation for the launch was carried out in advance. Specialists performed a set of works, including cleaning of bowls and adjacent areas, water disinfection, painting and repair of equipment, as well as checking engineering systems. This ensures reliable and safe operation of the facilities throughout the season.
At the same time, projects to renovate key city fountains continue. The reconstruction covers the fountain on Republic Square and near the G. Musrepov Theater. The work is in its final stage. Full completion of reconstruction and landscaping of adjacent areas is planned for the third quarter of 2026.
The renovated fountains will become modern public spaces focused on comfort and safety of residents. Their development is seen as part of systematic work to improve the urban environment and enhance the quality of public spaces.
