Even though the light rail transit (LRT) system in Astana has not yet been fully launched, construction has begun on a new line that will connect the capital with the settlement of Kosshy, reports Todayinfo.
According to CTS company, on the branch connecting Astana and Kosshy, the pouring of the first support has already been completed, and the first precast concrete beam for the overpass section of the line has been produced.
In total, the line will feature over 300 supports, 538 precast concrete overpass beams, and 8 monolithic beams.
