President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev awarded President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh the highest state award — the Order of Altyn Kyran.
As the Head of State noted, the awarding of the order during the historic visit of the Mongolian leader to Kazakhstan reflects the deep respect of the Kazakh people for his personality and contribution to the development of bilateral relations.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh is known as an experienced and far-sighted politician, under whose leadership Mongolia demonstrates sustainable development, implements a number of innovative projects, and strengthens its economy and international prestige.
The President of Kazakhstan also noted that bilateral relations between Astana and Ulaanbaatar are based on friendship and mutual respect and have reached the level of strategic partnership in recent years.
According to him, interaction between the countries actively developed even during the period when Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh headed the government of Mongolia, and today, as president, he has given it a new impetus.
"The agreements reached today will contribute to further strengthening our friendship. In the current unstable times, the rapprochement of our states takes on special significance and meets the interests of both sides," noted Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
In turn, Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh thanked for the high award and confirmed his readiness to further develop friendly relations between the two countries.
