Local residents reported hearing an explosion, after which a fire started. It was initially unclear what was burning and exactly where.
Later, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) provided details of the incident at the Ust-Kamenogorsk factory.
According to their data, a bang first occurred in a dust collection device. Following this, a fire broke out, and part of the structure collapsed.
When the first units arrived at the scene, the fire was already burning openly.
