In Almaty, during the city-wide cleanup campaign, comprehensive washing of sidewalks using special detergents is being carried out. This was reported by the city Department of Communal Infrastructure and Housing Inspection.
The work is being conducted in several stages. In the first stage, sidewalks are treated with watering and washing machines that supply water and detergent solution. This allows effective softening of dirt, dust, and road surface. Then road workers perform mechanical cleaning of paving slabs using brushes. In the final stage, repeated washing with clean water is carried out to remove foam and dirt residues.
Large-scale work is organized at 23 city sites. 48 units of watering and washing equipment and 480 road workers are involved.
Cleaning covers main sections in all districts of Almaty, including Abay, Raiymbek, Nazarbayev avenues, Panfilov, Satpayev, Gogol streets, and other areas with intense pedestrian traffic.
The ongoing measures are aimed at improving the sanitary condition of urban areas and creating a comfortable environment for residents.
