The Almaty akimat has begun the process of forced expropriation of four land plots in the Medeu district, reports Todayinfo.
The land is planned to be seized for the creation of a mountain cluster and the construction of cable car base stations. According to the document, the plots are to be seized by December 31, 2027. The corresponding decree was signed on April 27 by Almaty akim Darkhan Satybaldy.
The decree states: 'To begin the forced expropriation of four land plots or other real estate in connection with the seizure of land plots for state needs, located on Alma-tau Street in the Medeu district of Almaty, for the formation of the Almaty mountain cluster and the construction of cable car base stations.'
Compensation to the owners will be paid by the land relations department. After all procedures are completed, the plots will be transferred to the balance of the city tourism department. Earlier, the state seized a land plot worth two billion tenge from a private owner in the mountains of Almaty.
