This initiative is aimed at developing practical skills among youth left without parental care and in difficult life situations, as well as increasing their employment level. Within the project, participants will undergo short-term training courses in in-demand professions. These include barista, cook, hairdresser, and mobilographer.
Last year, as a result of the project implementation, over 120 adolescents underwent training. Most of them successfully completed the courses and moved on to the employment stage. The project has shown a positive impact on the social adaptation of participants, the development of their professional and personal skills.
This year, the Social Workshop project will continue its work, planning to expand training areas and increase the number of participants. The project includes not only training but also support for participants during the employment stage, assistance with admission to universities and colleges, and interaction with mentors and employers.
The project is part of systematic work on developing youth policy in Almaty and is aimed at creating equal opportunities for all categories of youth.
