The prestigious international robotics championship UK First Lego League Championship, organized by the Institution of Engineering and Technology, took place in Harrogate, UK, reports Todayinfo citing the Ministry of Education of Kazakhstan.

Schoolchildren from Astana, part of the Kazakhstan national team, achieved high results and won two main awards. The team took first place in the robot game category and was recognized as the best team of the championship.

The competition featured 68 teams from the UK, Brazil, France, Germany, Slovakia, and other countries. The team earned the right to compete internationally after a successful performance at the Central Asia First Championship tournament held in Astana.

In addition to the robot game, participants presented the artifacts.kz project — an online database of archaeological artifacts of Kazakhstan. Within the project, schoolchildren demonstrated a full work cycle, from idea and research to technical development and interaction with specialized institutes.

The project was highly praised not only for its technological level but also for its contribution to preserving national cultural heritage.
